Overall comments
You have submitted this part with a sense of conclusion where you practice feels like it has come together in a very satisfactory and rewarding way. You have already submitted a draft portfolio, research links and the critical review is almost done.
Critical review- the title is quite long and complex so we have decided to omit the latter half with the hierarchies. This can by all means be mentioned but it complicates things when added into the title.
There are enough images, just make them smaller.
The conclusion can be expanded as it just filters out at the moment. Go back to the initial question and summarise your findings.
Portfolio submission– this has summed up the projects for this unit visually and I can see an ambitious development occurring as you go through the unit. We discussed which videos can be taken out and put in instead. You have an array of work from collaboration, to physical work to vistas of where the work took place.
The research- there is more of a succinct entry of artists now which was missing for LO4. When selecting the links (for assessment), make sure they link to a separate blog rather than on this learning link where it is a list. Choose artists and research that is relative to ‘Above and Below’.
Latest work- this has shown more ambition with the water, the materiality and the distillation of the threads of materials. The drone shots are great! And really sums up the mass of water and where you have swam and immersed yourself. This compliments all the other work you have done so far.
Student notes and reflections
Everything is virtually completed now. I just need to tweak my portfolio, read through and add some more to the Critical Review, particularly the conclusion, which is a bit short.
Good portfolio of works, add one more video and reduce to 12 images. I seem more organised and everything has finally come together.
Action points
- Work on the final reflection in terms of pivotal moments / challenges- problem solving- how you overcame those problems.
- Here is the link for the assessment guidance- come with any questions next time. https://learn.oca.ac.uk/course/view.php?id=201
- Work on finalising the CR.
